Invitation from Fr. John Riley to Attend the Newly Married Couples Retreat
The Diocese of Arlington’s San Damiano Retreat Center is hosting a special Newly Married Couples Retreat. As the Spiritual Director of the Center, I will be guiding the attending couples as we consider how to meet and overcome the many challenges they will face. We hope they will join us as we ponder how to pray like Mary and Joseph, and how to form their families after the image and likeness of the only perfect family that ever existed.
We are blessed to have Soren and Ever Johnson, founders of the Trinity House Community, join our retreat. Married for 20 years and parents of five children, they have experienced the joys and setbacks of trying to make the Faith a reality in their home. Soren and Ever have developed and shared an intuitive framework for building a grace-filled home with many couples through their workshop: “Heaven in Your Home: How to Build a Flourishing Christian Household.”
The weekend (Sept. 16-18) will include time for exploring the beautiful outdoor spaces at the center, quiet reflection, Adoration, and spiritual conferences.
