Soren and Ever Johnson, Founders and Directors

Soren Johnson founded Trinity House Community with his wife, Ever. Soren has over 20 years of leadership experience, including teaching and communications positions at the Catholic high school and college levels, the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops and the Diocese of Arlington. From 2008 to 2011 he served as Vice President for the Prison Fellowship International, and from 2004 to 2008 and 2011 to 2019 as Director of Communications and Director of Evangelization in the Diocese of Arlington.

Soren holds a B.A. in Foreign Service from Georgetown University, and an M.A. in Theology from St. Vladimir’s Orthodox Theological Seminary. He has lived abroad in Russia, the Czech Republic and Israel, and his writing columns have been published by the Washington Post, Richmond Times Dispatch, Chicago Tribune,  Columbia, and the  Arlington Catholic Herald. 

In 2022, Soren and Ever were invited to make a presentation at the World Meeting of Families in Rome, and were interviewed live on EWTN from St. Peter’s Square. Soren was born and raised in West Chicago, Illinois, and now enjoys family life with Ever and their five children in Leesburg, Virginia.

Ever Johnson is co-founder and co-director of Trinity House Community. She previously worked for ten years as George Weigel’s Research Assistant at the Ethics and Public Policy Center in Washington, DC, where  she assisted with research and translations for Witness to Hope: The Life of Pope John Paul II, among other books, and organized the Tertio Millennio Seminar in Krakow, Poland.

Ever holds a B.A. in Government from the University of Texas at Austin, an M.A. in International Relations from the Johns Hopkins University School of  Advanced International Studies (SAIS), and an M.A. in Theology from the Dominican House of Studies in Washington, DC. During her early college years and beyond, she served four sessions in the Texas State Legislature and at the U.S. Embassy in Reykjavik, Iceland. She has also lived in Denmark, France and Italy, where she interned at the Vatican, and she speaks French and Italian.

Ever has published articles in Magnificat, the National Catholic Register, the Arlington Catholic Herald and Humanum, and has extensive experience as a speaker and communicator. Raised in a large Catholic family of restaurateurs in Fort Worth, Texas, Ever enjoys bringing her family’s spirit of hospitality to the ministry’s Trinity House Cafe + Market and her family’s  home in the countryside south of Leesburg.

Tamara Black, Assistant Manager, Trinity House Cafe

Tamara is the Assistant Manager at Trinity House Cafe + Market. When she’s not behind the counter training our team of hard-working baristas or serving our wonderful customers, you can find her taking photos and creating content for the Cafe’s social media. She loves serving the Leesburg community and has worked in the coffee industry for several years. Tamara has an associate’s degree in Theology.

Amy Fagerli, Manager and Technology Assistant at Trinity House Market

Amy Fagerli is a lifelong resident of Northern Virginia. She is a graduate of James Madison University and has a professional background in computer science. Most recently she has worked in the non-profit arena with an emphasis in marketing, communications and event management. At Trinity House her emphasis is on managing the Marketplace, as well as technology and communications support for the ministry and the Café.

Amy and her husband have two adult children, and are involved in St. John the Apostle Catholic Parish in Leesburg, Virginia.

Erin Meikle, Ministry Coordinator

Erin Meikle is happy to serve as the Ministry Coordinator for Trinity House Community and support the development, communications and administration of this very important ministry. She is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Theology at Duquesne University.

Erin holds a B.S. in Mathematics from The Pennsylvania State University, an M.A. in Teaching from the University of Pittsburgh, a Ph.D. in Education (with a concentration in Mathematics Teaching) from the University of Delaware, and an M.A. in Theology from Duquesne University. Erin previously taught courses in Mathematics and Education and mentored and tutored beginning Math and Science teachers from across the country.

Current theological research interests for Erin include Mariology and the life and works of St. John Henry Newman. Erin was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and currently lives in Leesburg, Virginia. She is a member of St. John the Apostle Parish. Erin and her husband Dan are enjoying exploring their new home in Northern Virginia with their Welsh terrier, Seamus.

Grace Sayers, Ministry Assistant

In addition to her work as a barista at Trinity House Cafe + Market, Grace runs the social media and marketing for Trinity House Cafe + Market. Grace Sayers serves as Ministry Assistant for the Trinity House Community, advancing the mission through communications, marketing, social media, events and administration.

Grace holds a B.A. in Theology and a B.A. in Evangelization and Catechetics from Benedictine College. Her passion is leading people closer to the Lord, and she has served as a retreat team leader for Benedictine College’s ministry, as a missionary for Totus Tuus, and as an intern for the Archdiocese of Denver and the Aquinas Forum. Originally from Colorado, she is now a member of St. Theresa Parish in Ashburn.
