New Video!: 5-Min. Trinity House Mini-Course

Dear Friend,

In a new 5-min. video produced by the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops for National Marriage Week, you’ll find:

  • What is a “Trinity House Life” centered on? (at 30 sec.)
  • An overview of the 5 levels of family life. (at 1 min.)
  • Our response to “How does Trinity House help the married couple build up the domestic church at home?” (1:11)
  • The goal of the monthly Heaven in Your Home Gatherings. (1:40)
  • Ever goes deeper on her favorite level, Person & Relationships, and shares a few suggested questions for couples to use on date nights. (2:14)

And if you missed the recent guest submission (including audio) of Fr. Jose Naralely’s inspiring reflection on the Holy Trinity and family life, you’ll find it here.

> With Lent beginning in just over two weeks (March 2nd), it’s not too early to start talking with your family about ways to grow closer to the Lord together. “8 ideas for a family Lent 2022” by Erika Ahern (National Catholic Register) is a great place to start.

> We are all talking too much, to too many people, all the time” (Daniel Esparza, Aleteia) may be a good pre-Lenten read for many of us, given its message of fasting and “less is more”: “Less posting and sharing can indeed lead to a more meaningful life, both online and offline, as one re-learns to discern what is indeed important and what is not.”

> Make your work an offering to the most holy Trinity,” Soren suggests in Note to self when working from home,” his column in the current issue of the Arlington Catholic Herald...More Tools to Build the 5 Levels of Your Trinity House

You’re Invited! We’re delighted that Paul and Elizabeth Flynn will kick off our next Heaven in Your Home Gathering this Saturday, Feb. 19th at St. John’s in Leesburg. Their topic: “Hospitality and Service: The Crown of a Trinity House.” Put it on your calendar and invite a friend. We’re going to stick with our earlier 6:30 pm start-time, and also add a family-friendly dinner. The whole family is invited, with activities for kids. See you there!

> Our thanks to Fr. James Hudgins (St. Theresa, Ashburn) and to Fr. Daniel Gee (St. John the Baptist, Front Royal) and the Women of St. John’s for hosting us last week for Heaven in Your Home workshops!

“Thank you for such a great workshop. I knew many of the things you said, but I have never seen or heard it put so clearly. Your materials, words, and the Heaven in Your Home flowchart are so impactful, but also simple enough that you feel this is more than just possible. I left there with such hope.”
— Paul Dwyer, Coordinator of Youth Ministry, St. Theresa Catholic Church, Ashburn, VA
